Joy Seu

Hi! I am Joy, a Registered Intern with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UCF. I love working with adults that are looking for self reflection and inner work, along side navigating trauma. I also am EMDR trained to work and process traumatic experiences. With that in mind, I primarily use a person centered approach, meaning I really value building trust with you and our therapeutic relationship. Research shows time and time again that the relationship with your therapist is key!. I am also psychodynamic, meaning I also believe that our experiences shape us in many ways, so it's important to me to really get to know you and the world that you move through. I have experience working with with self worth, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also have a passion for being a safe space for women and minorities navigating the world, as our walks of life can require a different lens in worldview. Life itself is complex and intricate, and so are we as human beings. Everyone deserves the safe space to grow and heal. When I'm out office, I love watching New Girl with my two cats, going for a walk, or attempting to bake a sweet treat!
