Alex Cisneros

RMHCI
Hey! My name is Alex, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI). Life can be challenging, and there is rarely a clear roadmap for what comes next. Even knowing that, it can be difficult to accept uncertainty or feel like you're moving in the right direction. At the same time, two things can be true: you can feel stuck and still be growing. My role is to provide a space where you can better understand yourself, navigate difficult experiences, and move toward the life you want to build. My approach is collaborative and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), focusing on acceptance, meaningful action, and lasting change. Rather than fighting difficult thoughts and emotions, we can learn how to make room for them while staying connected to your values and goals. I am passionate about working with trauma, anxiety, depression, men's issues, body image concerns, and disordered eating. Many of the clients I work with don't describe their struggles using those terms. Instead, they may feel frustrated with themselves, disconnected from their bodies, trapped in cycles of self-criticism, or feel as though they've lost their discipline, confidence, or sense of direction. Together, we can explore what is driving those patterns and develop a healthier relationship with both your mind and body. Outside the office, I enjoy training my dog, thrifting, gaming, and martial arts. Thank you for your time, and if you'd like to see if we'd be a good fit, feel free to reach out!
